Daily Devotional March 21, 2020

By Jeff Jackson,

If you’re like me, you might be saying, “I’ve never seen anything like this before.” I certainly have not seen anything like this in my lifetime. The Coronavirus has caused many changes. From changes in our local communities to changes around the world. It seems this has affected everyone, everywhere.

So, it’s important as Christ followers to be sure our hope is firmly rooted in God, the creator of heaven and earth. It’s important for us to be a witness for others to the peace that comes from faith in Jesus as the Son of God. It’s important for us to follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in our lives.

We have a God-given response to pandemics – PRAYER.

We need to turn to God and trust in Him. As the apostle Paul writes in Philippians 4:6: Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for what he has done. (NLT)

In Pioneer Bible Translators we’ve seen great results after implementing Extreme Prayer as a strategy. God responds when our prayers align with His will.

This Sunday March 22 at 9pm EST Pioneer Bible Translators invites you to join us for a live Facebook prayer event.

Please join Greg Pruett, President of Pioneer Bible Translators on Facebook as we launch a season of prayer. We will pray that God would eliminate the virus from the world. God is our great physician!

PRAYER: Father, we pray for your protection as we face this pandemic. Strengthen our trust in you. Help us to be a light to the world around us. Amen!
